Who we are

Insurance Exam Ready provides online study materials and practice tools for insurance licensing examinations. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Insurance Exam Ready, the operator of insuranceexamready.com.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and, when you use Google sign-in, your Google account name, email address and profile identifier.
• Learning activity: course access, answers, scores, study progress, saved preferences and review history.
• Purchase information: transaction identifiers, product purchased, payment status and refund or dispute status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, request logs, security events and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the service.
• Communications: information you provide when you contact us.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account details needed to create and secure your Insurance Exam Ready account. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, calendar or email content. Google's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• create and secure your account;
• deliver courses, practice sessions and progress tracking;
• process purchases and maintain course entitlements;
• respond to enquiries and service messages;
• detect fraud, abuse and security incidents;
• improve reliability, content and the learning experience; and
• meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosure

We use carefully selected providers to run the service, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments, and Google when you choose Google sign-in. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technology

We use cookies and related browser storage where necessary to maintain sign-in sessions, preserve security and provide core site functions. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and study records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and meet legal obligations. We then delete or anonymise it where reasonably possible. We apply technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

International processing

Our providers may process information in the United States, United Kingdom and other countries. Where required, appropriate contractual and legal safeguards are used for international transfers.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can also revoke Insurance Exam Ready's connection from your Google account settings. Some information may be retained where the law requires it.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users below the age of legal majority should use the service only with a parent or guardian's permission.
